I love traveling and exploring new places because every country is so unique. From tasting local food, visiting iconic landmarks, shopping, and nightlife, every destination has something special to offer. I truly enjoy immersing myself in new environments and discovering what makes each place unforgettable.

Last year, I was in Japan for two weeks and it was an incredible trip. I visited Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka - the last city being my favorite because it was the least touristy, felt clean, and truly felt special. In addition, I had the most incredible food on this trip, but the best was trying Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima. It is a savory pancake that I ate at a small local restaurant in the middle of Hiroshima. I had never heard of it before but it was extremely good. From this trip, I take away the importance to have the courage to see places that are completely different to what
In the summer of 2024, I was in Cannes and St. Tropez and it was such a special experience. I had never been to the south of France before and it turned out to be such a unique and special trip. I particularly loved the charming small town of St. Tropez and seeing the fireworks in Cannes for the annual firework show by the water. While walking around Cannes felt glamorous yet relaxed, St. Tropez blends character and elegance with its yacht-filled harbor, colorful streets, and cozy cafés.
My best friend Anna and I traveled to Costa Rica for our spring break during our junior year at the University of Miami and it was an incredible experience. We rented a car and first headed to La Fortuna to see the Arenal Volcano. After one night, we drove to Playa Flamingo, where we spent the rest of our trip. It was a truly special place - we saw the most incredible sunsets and spent so much time at the beach. We also took surfing lessons, which went much better than I expected and was a lot of fun. This trip was filled with curiosity and we exploring Costa Rica was extremely fun.
To me, traveling is a way to grow, challenge myself, and stay connected to the world beyond my own experiences. As someone who moved from Düsseldorf, Germany to Miami for college, I've learned how transformative it can be to step into unfamiliar environments. Travel has pushed me out of my comfort zone, strengthened my independence, and taught me to adapt and stay open-minded - skills that have shaped who I am today. Whether it's navigating a new city or engaging with people from different backgrounds, travel constantly reminds me to listen, learn, and think critically. Travel inspires my curiosity and reminds me why I am passionate about pursuing a path where global thinking and human connection matter.
