I have always been an active person and grew up playing tennis and golf. At the beginning of college, I continued playing tennis and golf but living in Miami also made me love running and Pilates.
In Germany I used to play tennis twice a week growing up, participating in summer camp every year, and playing tournaments for the club's tennis team. I love this sport and continued it throughout freshmen and sophomore year at the University of Miami. I did not play as much in junior and now senior year because my semesters have gotten

I love this sport and continued it throughout freshmen and sophomore year at the University of Miami. I did not play as much in junior and now senior year because my semesters have gotten very busy, but it has always been a good way to rewind and get some movement.
Besides tennis, I also played golf growing up and still enjoy it very much. I love that it can be played anywhere in the world, every course is different, and I get to be outside. I also played for my local golf club and still go to play there any time I am back home in Germany for breaks from college.
After moving off campus and discovering what else Miami has to offer, I noticed how many Pilates studios were in the area. I decided to give it a try and have been going regularly for 3 years now. I love the difficulty of it and pushing myself to the limit with every exercise. I learned that group exercises very much encourage me to keep going and stay consistent.
I always thought I would enjoy running at one point because my dad runs a lot and I saw myself possibly getting into it as well. I did not know when it would be but I discovered it for myself a little over a year ago. I have since participated in several 5km races and I am currently training for the Key Biscayne Half Marathon coming up in

I did not know when it would be but I discovered it for myself a little over a year ago. I have since participated in several 5km races and I am currently training for the Key Biscayne Half Marathon coming up in April. It has been a tough and exhausting journey but I am proud of my consistency and love the feeling of pushing myself to do best.
In January, I started training for my first half marathon. While I was used to running 5ks, this was my first time pushing beyond that distance. The journey had its highs and lows - especially during the final weeks. However, crossing the finish line felt extremely rewarding and it was a very emotional and proud moment. It sparked a new love for running that I am excited to keep exploring.
